Dr. Anna-Gay Nelson is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Paine College in the Department of Mathematics, Sciences, and Technology. She holds a Ph.D. in Actinide Chemistry (University of Notre Dame) and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (Tougaloo College). Dr. Nelson continued her research studies as a post-doctoral scientist in the Earth and Environmental Sciences Department at the University of Michigan.  Dr. Nelson joined Paine College as a full-time faculty member in Fall 2017. Dr. Nelson is currently teaching upper level Chemistry courses (Organic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry) and is currently the Chemistry Faculty advisor and the co-advisor to the Senior class.  Dr. Nelson was one of three faculty selected to attend the NSF Life STEM Capacity Building Workshop at Morgan State University on February 26-27, 2018.
